Rent-To-Own Process
Engagement Session
An information session will be carried out on affordable housing and the rent-to-own program where full details will be shared with those selected. The site location, the drafted plans of homes, the cost of project and the funders. These will be on a continuous basis throughout project.

Provide comprehensive career development opportunities in construction and related trades. Our programs aim to increase economic independence by equipping participants with in-demand skills. Moreover, we offer specialized support to participants interested in building and growing their businesses. Our programs aim to increase economic independence and financial stability, fostering self-reliance and sustainable growth.
Comprehensive Support Services
We provide comprehensive support services, including financial literacy training, home maintenance education, and culturally relevant workshops. These offerings empower individuals to thrive as homeowners, renters, or business owners while preserving a solid connection to their cultural heritage
Flexible Financing and Pathways to Homeownership
We offer flexible vendor financing, loan guarantees, and down payment matching to make homeownership more attainable. This feature opens the door for more off reserve Indigenous Peoples to achieve stable housing and financial security.
Provided applications to be filled out in person, and/or by email. The rent to own application, Equifax and TransUnion forms were given to each applicant.
The application deadline set for all documentation to be provided within 60 days
Review & verification of Information on Applicants
The review committee was identified, and verification of information provided on application.
- 2 Years of Tax Assessments
- Confirmation of current Employment for the past 2 years
- Confirmation on previous rental history, by providing Landlord reference letter for past 10 years.
- Bank Statement showing us that rent has been paid.
- Applicants will be provided a form to request a credit report from Equifax & Transunion
- Confirmation of Indigenous ancestry (Treaty Card, Metis or Inuit ID Card)
Selections by Committee & Approved by the Board
- All documentation is reviewed by an independent selection committee.
- The process is based on what was submitted by each applicant.
- Applicants will be notified if approved once a decision has been made.
